Description:  Sunflower U-Pick Farm

Operation:  Visitors may take photos of the sunflower fields as well cut the flowers and purchase. The sunflowers are ornamental only, and do not produce seeds. The U-pick is open during the month of October, and there is an admission fee.

Activities:  The actual Sunflower U-Pick is from October 1-28, or when the flowers are gone. There is an admission fee, but no reservations are required. Operation:  We operate as an Education Resource Center, The Country Schoolhouse, on our 40 acre grass-fed beef farm, Beaver Creek Farm. Operation:  For 37 years people have visited this Christmas tree farm for the fun and pleasure of choosing their own tree before it has been cut down. After choosing your favorite tree you may cut the tree yourself or one of the staff will do it and shake it well to remove any dead needles. Next is wrapping and loading and you have a beautifully fresh Christmas tree for the season.

Activities:  Open for choose and cut Christmas trees on the Saturday before Thanksgiving (1 day only), and then will close and REOPEN on Thanksgiving day (check for hours). Operation:  Mini Tails Farm offers families a place to have a horse themed birthday party for their children. Lead line horse back rides or cart rides are available. We have five miniature horses, a pony, a horse, three cats, and two goats, a mini pig, two mini rabbits, and a miniature donkey! Most of the horses are rescued. Operation:  Farmer Jim's Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maze is an educational agritourism venture that showcases a working farm and fun for not only families but for school and church groups. Description:  U-Pick Blueberries and Blackberries Farm.

Operation:  We are a family owned farm with approximately 1500 blueberry bushes and 50 blackberry bushes. We also have honey bees on the property for pollination and eventually plan to try our hand in the honey market. Our property is roughly 16 acres on the Oktibbeha/Winston County line.

Activities:  U-pick blueberries from May through July. U-pick blackberries from July through October. Entry fees and reservations do not apply.

Directions:  From Hwy 25 (past Louisville headed toward Starkville) take a left onto Sturgis Road and continue straight for 9 miles. Once you reach 9 miles we are located on the left side of the road. If you continue down Sturgis Road, you will reach the town of Sturgis in 4.5 miles.
